The Activity Assistant Supervisor will supervise activity aides. The Supervisor will ensure implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic recreation services including, but not limited to, empowerment, maintenance and supportive activities. He or she will uphold the philosophy, standards, objectives and policies of the Department of Therapeutic Recreation.

The primary purpose of this position: To supervise activity aides and facilitate therapeutic recreation services. Supervise the activity aides.

  • Prepare and mail monthly Newsletters to residents and their family members
  • MDS and care planning
  • Staff evaluation
  • Activities on the units
  • Assist Activity director with the gift shop
  • Resident council meetings
  • Organizing and executing trips for the residents
  • Activity and meal planning meeting
  • Activity payroll preparation in the absence of Director

Experience and Skills:

  • Associates degree in therapeutic activity preferred
  • Relevant experience preferred.
  • Certified Activity Director Certificate
