The Part Time Maintenance Worker will be responsible for maintaining the center grounds of Community Hills Early Learning Center. The positon includes providing cleaning and general maintenance duties inside and outside CHELC.

  • Empty all garbage cans diapering baskets, washing and disinfecting at the end of the night.

  • Sweep and mop all floors, including classroom, office space and corridors.

  • Repair of broken equipment and materials to ensure safety for staff and children ( including ceiling tiles)

  • Monitor the interior and exterior of the building for needed repairs.

  • Assumes additional responsibilities when necessary.

  • Responds appropriately to work related crisis situations.

  • Performs duties with minimal supervision

  • Completes assignments within allotted time.

  • Arrives at work on time and maintains consistent attendance.

  • Works in an organized and efficient manner.

  • Follows all safety guidelines, including procedure for reporting work relates accidents.

  • As a member of the Environmental Services Department , you may be assigned to other locations within the NCC network of properties to perform maintenance related duties both indoors and/or outdoors as needed by the corporation. This includes, snow/ice removal, room set-ups, landscaping duties, etc.

  • Perform any additional duties as deemed necessary.

Experience and Skills:

  • 1-2 years of experience in maintenance related field.

  • Proficiency in use of landscaping equipment
