Job Description:

It is active in housing, health care, education, job training, childcare and economic development.

A Lead Intensive Case Manager (LICM) works closely with the Director of SAIF assisting supervising the Intensive Case Managers (ICM) to ensure that the ICMs are adequately providing case management services and all state requirements are being meet and manage a case load.

  • Provides daily supervision of ICMs assisting with the successful outcomes for their clients.
  • Ensures that ICMs are following all mandates and maintaining compliance as required by State of New Jersey.
  • Informs Director of emerging issues and/or crisis situations with associates.
  • Represent program and agency at various meetings
  • Ensures that the ICMs move the SAIF associates to an exemption status or returned to welfare for work activities to achieve self-sufficiency within the 24-month SAIF time frame.
  • Manage a caseload of 20 or less associates, providing the full range of SAIF case management services to an assigned active caseload of eligible individuals, including assessment, creation of ISP, monitoring of progress, referring cases, and closing cases as indicated.

 

Experience and Skills:

  • BSW, BA/BS/ degree in human services field.
  • 5 to 8 years’ experience in the health and human service field, social services, case management, supports, and supervision of staff.
  • Additional experience in workforce development, training & human resources a plus.
  • Must be a licensed driver and have a personal vehicle that can be utilized for field visits as needed.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills and ability to provide professional supervision and leadership to case manager staff.
  • Experience conducting outreach and/or providing case management/social services to disadvantaged populations, computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office software.
